beecee Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 (edited) 20cm Stanley London brass Marine sextant. Antique 10 inch brass & wooden gimbal compass. Edited February 1, 2022 by beecee 2
MigL Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 Not impressed by the compass, but that is one sexy sextant.

I still use it in practise, at the beach, on the roof, all the appropriate places. 😉 I picked up the binnacle and compass at a ship's chandler a few years ago for $400.
beecee Posted February 9, 2022 Author Posted February 9, 2022 Adding to the nautical theme, my door knocker/bell No one else with any prized possessions?
Intoscience Posted February 9, 2022 Posted February 9, 2022 Bit boring really, but I'm not much of a materialistic person. I have a cupboard draw at home where I keep all the trinkets and gifts I hold dear. Some have high monetary value others just emotional. So I guess this would be my most prized material possession(s). I do own a silver platter that has been handed down in the family since 1770, although I don't know the history behind it. My son will inherit it once I pass.
