AlexSlater1234567 Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 Hello! Based on the idea, that testoserone and estrogen are both produced in private area in male and female; can one infer that the hormone responsible for our height is not produced as much in those who are immature? Testosterone after all makes bones grow longer (not the same as ordinary Growth Hormone which is more for repairing cells and tissues), so it would be intuitive no? Can you say that a person that would be in their 20's would be very short if they didn't understand the concept of genders and s*x? To the point they still had no idea where babies came from even at 28 years of age, and are very much into baby rattles and things like that. Is it possible that you could be not having maturity, much knowledge or rationality; but be taller than 2 feet tall even after 18? What do you think?

Peterkin Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 http://www.ikonet.com/en/visualdictionary/static/us/hormones Quote The human body secretes and circulates some 50 different hormones. A wide variety of these chemical substances are produced by endocrine cells, most of which are in glands. The hormones then enter the blood system to circulate throughout the body and activate target cells. The endocrine system, tightly linked to the nervous system, controls a large number of the body’s functions: metabolism, homeostasis, growth, sexual activity, and contraction of the smooth and cardiac muscles.

genio Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 It's possible since taller people tend to be natural leaders. I believe maturity is also related to how well someone metabolizes carbohydrates. I have GLUT1 deficiency syndrome which is basically permanent ketogenic metabolism and my maturity decreases to that of a child if I consume carbohydrates.

If there's a correlation, it's that people tend to prefer leaders with taller stature, not that taller people make natural leaders. The fact that we see them as more capable doesn't make them more capable.

At least in the US there seems to be: https://www.gertstulp.com/pdf/Stulp et al 2013_TLQ_Presidential height.pdf Quote "The advantage of taller candidates is potentially explained by perceptions associated with height: taller presidents are rated by experts as 'greater', and having more leadership and communication skills. We conclude that height is an important characteristic in choosing and evaluating political leaders." "Height is associated with some of the same perceptions and outcomes as is strength. For example, individuals with taller stature are perceived as better leaders and attain higher status within a wide variety of modern political and organizational contexts."
