Franklin Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 FINISHED FILES ARE THE RESULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTIFIC STUDY COMBINED WITH THE EXPERIENCE OF YEARS. Now count aloud the F's in that sentence. Count them ONLY ONCE; do not go back and count them again. How many did you count?
Tigerbeam Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 i got 2, then went back and checked. a little disturbing how off i was
Callipygous Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 i should probably note that i have seen similar before. [hide] the key is counting them ALOUD. your brain searches for the "fffff" sound. in the word "of" it makes a "vvv" sound so you forget to count it. if you got three you probably missed the three "of"s in the sentance.[/hide]
juniors_farm Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 I've seen this during diversity training while working with a company I am no longer with. The phrase was different, but the principle is the same. Six "F's". Funny thing is, everybody missed the same words in my exercise, including me.
gib65 Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 Oh yeah! Missed those "of"s. Funny how the brain works. Trickery and sorcery I say!
