Nydevon Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 A projectile is launched at 65 m/s at an angle of 40 degrees. Find: a) the final velocity (as two components and as a magnitude and direction) b) the total time of flight c) the maximum height d) the horizontal range. Thanks for your help!
insane_alien Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 i hope you don't expect us to give you the answers, you're supposed to work them out for yourself. a)this is obvious it is just trigonometery <--- BIG hint! b) equations of motion c) equations of motion d) equations of motion now go try them for yourself.
mezarashi Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 I think the hint was in the question. Break the motion into the two components, x and y. Remember that only the y component is affected by gravity. The velocity in x will be constant.
