Differences between genetic modification of plants / help with specific methods

Hi there, confused EPQ student here.

I'm writing a research paper on genetic modification in cattle and I'm just wondering about the differences between the GM of plants and animals, if there even are any. It wouldn't be a big deal if not, I just wanted to make a clarification.

Also if anybody has in-depth methords for any of the following, I would really appreciate your time:

• Microinjection
• Retrovirus-mediated transgenesis
• Embryonic stem cell-mediated transgenesis
