Edisonian Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 Religion can be detrimental to societies. Now "evangelical scientists" have created a theory called "Intelligent Falling" that challenges the conventional theory on gravity. They don't fall because they are subject to gravitational force, but instead they believe a higher intelligence --God --is pushing things downward. These people (radical Christians) are totally lost! I can't believe they believe this crap.
ydoaPs Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 you do know that the onion is satire, right?
AzurePhoenix Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 Don't feel bad Edison, I thought it was real too, never heard of Onion before I saw it. Now I'm a big fan. Here are some examples http://www.theonion.com/content/node/28331 http://www.theonion.com/content/node/28315 http://www.theonion.com/content/node/28626
Hellbender Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 I think it is necessary for basic physics students to be exposed to both sides of a theory-even if one is metaphysical in nature. IF is a perfect alternative to the humanistic theory of gravity, and I support it being taught in schools. PS I elect Edisonian for the "creepiest avatar" award....
