Brainee Posted November 7, 2022 Posted November 7, 2022 Are there 7-dimensional Calabi-Yau shapes instead of the usual 6-dimensional Calabi-Yau shapes?
uncool Posted November 7, 2022 Posted November 7, 2022 Calabi-Yau manifolds are Kahler manifolds. Kahler manifolds are symplectic manifolds. Symplectic manifolds are always even-dimensional. So no. 1
Brainee Posted November 7, 2022 Author Posted November 7, 2022 In M-theory there are 11-dimensional while in usual string super theory there are 10 dimensions. Usual super string theory uses calabi-yau shapes.
