Innocent Muggle Posted November 29, 2022 Posted November 29, 2022 Hello geniuses, this is Innocent Muggle who don't know about science and math. However, NEED ALL YOUR HELP!!! Here is question, 1. If battery capacity is 87kWh and max power is 430kW, can you calculate the weight? it's lithium ion battery pouch cell pack for car!

Innocent Muggle Posted November 30, 2022 Author Posted November 30, 2022 Thank you for replying! Then What I need more?

The weight of a battery pack depends on how it is designed. It is not something you can work out from electrical performance data. You would not expect to be able to work out the weight of a petrol engine from its power output, would you? Because, again, It depends on the design. Edited November 30, 2022 by exchemist
Innocent Muggle Posted November 30, 2022 Author Posted November 30, 2022 Thank you for replying [exchemist] I thought it can be depend on capacity cause engines are usually heavy in high performance. Thank you so much I really appreciated it!! I hope you have a good day👍

Car batteries weigh somethng like 800 to 1500 lbs depending. Here is a list of some specs. https://motorandwheels.com/electric-car-batteries-weight/ However yous is a hiogher end battery so I would expect it to weigh in at the higher weigher, something north of 1000lbs. Particular manufacturer's wesites will tell you more specific information for their particular models.

However it will also depend on the battery technology and design as well.
