jutntog1 Posted September 10, 2005 Posted September 10, 2005 I just felt the nead to share a funny story: so im sitting in my so called advanced biology (10th grade) and being the first week of school the teachers talking about how to state a hypothisis and the like when someone raises there hand and asks "why dont we try to harness the energy from distant stars on earth" i just thought it was so funny that it was worth sharing...
mezarashi Posted September 10, 2005 Posted September 10, 2005 Oh how I wish I had that great book of "They Said That!?" by famous celebrities. My local newspaper hosts a section for recent "updates" if you will, and they are hilarious. Just a few from the internet: "The internet is a great way to get on the net" -Republican presidential candidate Bob Dole "My parents have been there for me, ever since I was about 7." David Beckham "We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees." -Jason Kidd, upon his drafting to the Dallas Mavericks I haven't committed a crime. What I did was fail to comply with the law. - - David Dinkins I do not like broccoli and I haven't liked it since I was a little kid and my mother made me eat it. Now I'm President of the United States and I'm not going to eat any more broccoli. --George Bush "I would not be bothered if we lost every game as long as we won the league." Mark Viduka
starbug1 Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 How about this one. History teacher, "Can anyone tell my why a member of congress would go back to their home town before the start of a new session." student, "to go home for Christmas." teacher, "NO..(amid laughter throughout the class), to campaign." I even had to smile.
Rasori Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 I personally liked this one: History teacher: "Alright, let's start off with a couple of words we went over yesterday. Can anyone tell me the difference between a psychologist and a psychiatrist?" Class: *silence* This was on our first day of actual classes. The history teacher is a joint teacher in the AP Psych class and she somehow mistook us for them. She did an entire psychology lesson because none of us corrected her. Best American History lecture I've ever had, I must say.
Klaynos Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 Student at a college asks "Is there much information about the 1960's on the internet" Librarian/learning support staff at a college reples completely genuinly "no because the internet wasn't digital then"
