Spider24 Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 Would you predict that a clone produced as Dolly was would be a carbon copy of the animal from which the nucleaus was obtained? Just curious on what individuals thought.
rakuenso Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 lol your still being a bit too general. By exactly the same do you mean exactly the same genetically speaking? or molecularly speaking? Because it is impossible to have an exact Carbon copy.
Mokele Posted September 13, 2005 Posted September 13, 2005 No, they could be different, see the other thread you made for why.
Ice Demon Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 You can have a genetically same clone. The odds are: about 712,923,984,000:1. Thats over 700 trillion! There is about 6,219,200 people on the planet. Most likely no one will ever see a genetic copy of them self in their lifetime. That includes "cloning" an animal like dolly.
