albertlee Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 Just a simple question.. If there are more and more users visiting my website, will that increase the rank of my site on a search engine, presumably I have registered there? if so, how does the search engine know my website has an increase of visitors? thx
Dave Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 I wouldn't have thought so. The influx of users would have to be accompanied by those users linking to your sites, or by running some sort of advertisements.
albertlee Posted September 11, 2005 Author Posted September 11, 2005 alright... so you mean when more people clicking on ur Google Ads, the more the Google search engine incline to level your website's rank??
the tree Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 Oh god no, Google doesn't rank you on if you have thier adverts, that'd be nasty. Primarly Google will rank your site depending on how many other sites link to yours.
albertlee Posted September 11, 2005 Author Posted September 11, 2005 so what does dave mean by "running some sort of advertisements"???
Aeternus Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 He means if they advertised your site on theirs, so that there was a link to your site from theirs.
