Ok so inbreeding in early speciation is hard to prove, since the long lasting effect will vanish. I can see that. But do you understand how perceived learned behavior becomes genetic? In such a process both outcomes from a choice is tested. Since a lot of behavior is meant to avoid inbreeding, inbreeding becomes significant to their behavior hence their genetic makeup as I explained above. Through behavioral isolation I belive speciation could then evolve.

 

My point here is that had it not been for the overall bad effects of inbreeding non inbreeding selection would not be the preferred choice hence inbreeding would be vital for evolutionary history. Meaning that evolution has been shaped by bad mechanisms to follow good ones.

I think that inbreeding is a serious problem. A problem so serious that

aging have evolved to prevent mutations from being carried too far into future generations.
