woelen
Is there a way to convert oxide to sulfide Thanks Dissolve in HCl (forms a soluble chloro-stibnate (III) complex) and slowly add an excess of sodium sulfide while stirring constantly. The nice orange/red precipitate of Sb2S3 separates from the liquid. Do this experiment in a good fumehood or outside. A lot of free H2S is formed as well! olmpiad
If you are trying to obtain Sb2S3, just go out and purchase the mineral Stibnite (a lot of it comes from Romania).
