Knowledge Enthusiast Posted November 21, 2023 Posted November 21, 2023 Chapter 1: The standard model of the mind The standard model of the mind starts with the factors of the standard model of physics, which are mass and energy. So what is the mass and energy of the mind? Mass is the talent, which is to say talent to read people or talent to read and comprehend written material. Energy is the personality factor in question. The personality factors in question could be the bad factors, the neutral factors, and the good factors. The bad factors are the dark tetrad of personality, namely greed, violence, manipulation, and apathy. The neutral factors are extroversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, emotional stability, and openness to experience. The good factors are Kantianism, faith in humanity, and humanism. Chapter 2: General relativity of the mind to understand The general relativity of the mind to understand comes from the force of truth and the force of understanding. The force of truth bends the space while the force of understanding connects the expert to the audience and the audience with reality. Chapter 3: General relativity of the mind to act and change the world for the better The general relativity of the mind to change the world for the better is then described by the forces of kindness and beauty. The force of kindness bends the space while the force of beauty connects the giver and the receiver. Chapter 4: Special relativity of the mind Special relativity of the mind holds the speed of the heart as the primary determiner. As the speed of the heart slows, perception of time slows. As the speed of the heart increases, perception of time speeds up. Chapter 5: Electromagnetism of the mind In electromagnetism, unlike charges repel each other. In electromagnetism of the mind, the reverse of the force repels the force. For example, cruelty repels kindness, cruelty makes kindness difficult. Cruelty is ugly and not beautiful and so it pushes people apart instead of together. Falsehood is repelled by the truth. People who tell falsehoods run from the truth-tellers. Falsehoods are also misunderstandings and misunderstandings can create a connection between speaker and listener but the speaker is no expert and the misunderstanding creates a distance between the audience and reality. Chapter 6: Nuclear strong force of the mind The nuclear strong force of the mind is the unity of a group or people when everyone agrees that the heart should lead and the head optimizes what the heart wants and the heart is one where most people in society agrees on. The ultimate heart goes something along the lines of “There is beauty in taking pain and in sacrifice to be stronger and for a better world. Once you see the beauty that pain and sacrifice can achieve in this world, all you need to see left is that it is wrong to forsake someone who honestly did wrong because they could not understand. We must stop the madness, but stopping their hearts must be a last resort” and “I believe we are brought down here to defeat the undeserving and then through our just deserts, be kind to those that deserve our blessed talents.” The nuclear strong force of the mind binds people in society together to meet challenges that plague the society in question. Chapter 7: The nuclear weak force of the mind The nuclear weak force in physics is about the decay of the atom. The nuclear weak force of the mind is about the decay of society. Societies can go through cycles of rise, stagnation, and ultimately decay. When a people forgets the vision of the founders or the vision of the founders no longer apply, society may decay.

Knowledge Enthusiast Posted July 31 Author Posted July 31 Introduction The standard model of the mind can be envisioned through the dynamics of mass and energy, much like in physics. However, for simplicity in this first exploration, we will focus on mass and energy to outline a conceptual framework. In this model, we philosophically factorize the scientifically understood dark tetrad—Narcissism, Psychopathy, Machiavellianism, and Sadism—into four primary forces: greed, violence, manipulation, and apathy, respectively. These represent the forces of darkness. On the positive side, based on research into the light triad, we have Kantianism, faith in humanity, and humanism, which fall under the umbrella of Kindness. Alongside Kindness, we consider Truth, Beauty, and Understanding as the positive forces of the mind. Mass: Talent Mass in this context represents talent. Traditionally, talent is multifaceted, but here we simplify it into two main branches: the talent to comprehend the world and the talent to act and change the world. The talent to comprehend the world can be equated to intelligence, while the talent to act and change the world encompasses physical energy and emotional mastery, necessary for societal impact. Energy: Psychological Forces Energy in our model is derived from psychological forces. These forces include the dark tetrad tendencies, the big five personality traits, and the positive forces of truth, kindness, beauty, and understanding. The Dark Tetrad: Forces of Darkness The dark tetrad consists of: Narcissism (Greed): A selfish pursuit of personal gain. Psychopathy (Violence): A tendency towards aggressive and harmful behavior. Machiavellianism (Manipulation): The use of cunning and deceit to achieve one's ends. Sadism (Apathy): A lack of empathy and enjoyment of others' suffering. These traits are distilled into the dark forces that drive negative behavior. The Big Five Personality Traits: Neutral Forces The big five personality traits include: Extroversion: Social engagement and assertiveness. Conscientiousness: Diligence, organization, and dependability. Emotional Stability: The ability to remain calm and composed. Openness to Experience: Curiosity and creativity. We exclude agreeableness due to its dual potential for both light and dark tendencies. These traits represent neutral forces that influence behavior but are not inherently good or bad. Positive Forces: Truth, Kindness, Beauty, and Understanding These forces can be metaphorically linked to brain regions: Truth (Frontal Lobe): The pursuit of the underlying reality of the universe and its particularities. Kindness (Interplay of Frontal and Parietal Lobes): Embodying the light triad traits of Kantianism, faith in humanity, and humanism. Beauty (Temporal Lobe): The appreciation of aesthetic value, leading to equality by elevating the beautiful to our level. Understanding (Occipital Lobe): Gained through vision and perception, understanding involves grasping the main features of something, even if not fully comprehending all particulars. Conclusion In summary, the standard model of the mind encompasses both dark and light psychological forces, as well as neutral traits that influence behavior. This philosophical framework offers a structured way to understand the complex interplay of these forces, providing insight into the dynamics of the human mind. Implications of the Standard Model of the Mind E = mc²: "Talent Powers Energy" Your innate talents (mass) are the foundational source that fuels your psychological energy (E). Just like mass can be converted into significant energy in physics, your intelligence and emotional mastery (talent) drive the psychological forces behind your thoughts, actions, and behaviors. This emphasizes the importance of developing and harnessing your natural abilities to maximize your potential and impact. m = E/c²: "Energy Reveals Talent" The psychological energy (E) you exhibit through your actions and behaviors is a reflection of your underlying talent (mass), scaled by a factor (c²) that represents efficiency. This means that the more psychological energy you display, the more it reveals about your inherent capabilities and how effectively you utilize them. It highlights the idea that visible energy and productivity stem from a base of talent, amplified by how efficiently you convert potential into action. c² = E/m: "Efficiency Amplifies Impact" The efficiency (c²) with which you convert your talent (mass) into psychological energy (E) determines your overall impact. A high conversion factor means you can turn even moderate talent into substantial energy and influence, driven by factors like motivation, personal development, and external support. This underscores the critical role of efficiency in maximizing the effectiveness and reach of your inherent abilities, showing that how well you use your talents can significantly enhance your psychological energy and overall success.

How exactly does this further our understanding of the human mind, let alone how this relates to the mind of an ant verses a whale; your mass/talent indicator suggests a whale would dominate a human in a game of metaphorical chess.

How it furthers understanding: Well, the model integrates different theories into one framework which helps in the understanding of the dynamics of these different theories together. For example, in a social gathering, you may notice certain neutral forces like openness to experience when someone vibes to the music, then a drunkard comes in and shoves him showing the negative force of violence, then at the end, they make peace, expressing the positive force of understanding as the drunkard realizes that he is drunk and the man who was shoved realizes that drunk people can get unreasonably violent. Through the example given, you can see that the dynamics of social situations can be analyzed under one model instead of having the theories unconnected. All the negative, neutral, and positive forces are unified under the umbrella of energy and then there is talent, which we put under the umbrella of mass. Both talent and personality tendencies are then connected through E=mc^2. How it relates to the mind of an ant versus a whale: It does not relate to insects and other mammals, only humans. You also seem to misunderstand the reason for using the word mass. I am not saying heavier people have more talent. I use the word mass to make it so that we can analyze talent in relation to negative, neutral, and positive forces through E=mc^2. I am still working to rewrite the rest of this post when better ideas come. Please do not put my improvement into this older version.

What are you doing to reduce the subjective nature of many of your criteria? Surely "talent" isn't something we have the ability to objectively measure? Similarly, greed, violence, stability, and many of the others you mention depend on the person, so you need to remove as much subjectivity from your arguments as possible. Also, you talk about energies as if they are a thing instead of a property of a thing. Can I borrow a cup of energy? 46 minutes ago, Knowledge Enthusiast said: I use the word mass to make it so that we can analyze talent in relation to negative, neutral, and positive forces through E=mc^2. So you're applying a term that already has definitions in physics in a way that makes no sense. Are you eventually going to claim that talent creates gravity? You are correct that many psychological constructs, including talent, can have subjective elements. To address this, we incorporate well-established psychological assessment tools and empirical research to provide a more objective basis for our criteria. For instance: Talent: While the concept of talent can be broad, specific aspects of talent, such as cognitive abilities (IQ tests), emotional intelligence (EQ assessments), and physical skills, can be measured using standardized tests. These tools offer quantifiable data that reduce subjectivity. Greed, Violence, Stability: Similarly, psychological traits like greed (often associated with narcissism), violence (linked to psychopathy), and emotional stability are evaluated using validated psychological instruments like the Dark Triad scale and the Big Five personality inventory. These assessments provide reliable and consistent measures of such traits across different individuals. By grounding our criteria in standardized and empirically validated measures, we can reduce the subjective nature of our model and provide a more objective framework for analysis. 15 minutes ago, Phi for All said: What are you doing to reduce the subjective nature of many of your criteria? And while you can measure how strong someone is, it becomes much more difficult to objectively judge how that strength relates to a talented ability. Am I more talented if I can lift 400#, or if I can hold a handstand on two fingers for three minutes?
