PeterBushMan Posted March 8 Posted March 8 What if Biden get re-elected, but drop dead one day after that, who will replace as the new President?
Endy0816 Posted March 8 Posted March 8 (edited) The Vice President Elect, who is also the current Vice President. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vice_President-elect_of_the_United_States https://simple.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_presidential_line_of_succession There is a couple month transition period before Inauguration, so wouldn't immediately impact anything were they different people. J.C.MacSwell Posted March 8 Posted March 8 Currently next in line are the two seated behind Biden in last night's State of the Union Address. Kamala Harris and the kid that was making faces to her left.

Juvenile and unprofessional and disrespectful to someone he has to work with to get bipartisan bills past the poised veto pen. But I don't think little Mikey has any real interest in anything but sabotage and bringing the country to overt theocracy.

Democratically generated backsliding into autocracy seems far more aligned with the plans they’re documenting than theocracy (though right wing Christian nationalism clearly is a player here, too) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_2025 Quote The plan would perform a swift takeover of the entire executive branch under a maximalist version of the unitary executive theory — a theory proposing the president of the United States has absolute power over the executive branch — upon inauguration.

Christian nationalism in the US is not the same as Christianity. It’s more like an American version of how the Taliban and ISIS distort Islam. Jesus would be strung up in a gallows for being a woke liberal trying to destroy the country. 1

I certainly hope you're not trying to imply that Mike Johnson isn't the second coming of Moses...subservient on Earth only to Trump himself... https://www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnbc-opinion/house-speaker-mike-johnson-moses-speech-rcna128126 "Or so Johnson thought. According to Rolling Stone magazine, the speaker was “perhaps unaware that the event was being recorded for the NACL Facebook page.” The video is no longer available, but Rolling Stone reports that Johnson thanked the organization for not letting journalists in. “I’ll tell you a secret,” he said, “since media is not here.” God had spoken to him throughout Republicans’ weekslong effort to find a new Speaker, Johnson said. Eventually, God revealed to Johnson that he would be a Moses-like figure leading the GOP and the country through a “Red Sea moment.”" 1

He also has connections to the Dominionists. It might be kind of scary to anyone who believes in America as a land of religious freedom. ETA: I just read posts subsequent, so I see I'm a tad redundant. Edited March 9 by TheVat fpejcit

Former National Security Adviser, Lt Gen Mike Flynn who played key roles in pushing the Jan6 insurrection, is another very powerful crusader in this fight for the soul of our people.
