If I create a full backup of my iPhone with iTunes, the data/copy is saved on my PC, later on, some photos are deleted and some new photos are created on my iPhone, then I update the backup with iTunes, will it also delete the photos in the backup?

For example, I have taken some photos in Paris, then I create a full backup with iTunes and the backup is kept on my PC. I then delete all photos taken in Paris on my iPhone only, and then I take new photos in Frankfurt and update the iTunes backup. Will the new iTunes backup still contain the photos taken in Paris?

You could test this yourself by taking a test photo, backing up your phone, and then deleting the photo.

Should be, but is it? Sometimes iCloud just mirrors the device. One needs to check.

iCloud helps keep your data safe in two main ways: syncing and backing up. For example, if you're using iCloud Photos, iCloud Drive, or Notes, your information automatically syncs to the cloud and is kept up-to-date across all of your devices whenever you make a change.

Any data on your device that isn't regularly synced is stored in your iCloud Backup. With Backup turned on, iCloud takes periodic snapshots of this data to make sure that it's easy to restore any time you get a new device.

Between syncing and backing up, all of your data is kept safe in the cloud. - Apple

I wonder if distributed server farms could become a thing where consumers devices are used for a price or benefit. The information locations could decentralize the system and make it more secure? Parts of encrypted files could be randomly distributed and recompiled on demand by those who have the necessary keys.

The iTunes backup should be a sequential backup, which means it is added on to what's already there.

Hi. If I transfer a photo or video taken with iPhone to my computer through USB cable, which means it is original and not degraded, and then I delete it on my iPhone, and later on, I transfer it again to my iPhone. Will my iPhone (or iOS) treat the photo as it was never deleted? I am asking this question because I find that iPhone will automatically detect face, allow search of text in photo, and look for duplicated or similar photos and sometimes make category by itself. I don't know if these functions will lose if a picture is deleted and transferred back later on.

I was wrong. See my post after.

If I backup my iPhone to my PC with iTunes, then I have a backup copy, and then I delete some of the photos and videos on my iPhone and keep using the iPhone to take more new photos and videos. In fact, I am doing this because my iPhone is running out of space, I don't actually want to discard those photos forever, and I don't have a budget for a new iPhone with bigger capacity at the moment. (My current phone only has 64GB). I can only get a new iPhone next year.

I'll have two backup copies of photos and videos, some photos and videos are older (i.e. created before I delete them on my iPhone), and some are newer (i.e. created after I delete them on my iPhone). When I get a new iPhone of bigger capacity later, how can I transfer them all to the new phone? I cannot figure out the logic, it looks like it is not possible.
