Is time getting faster?

There is no chance for agreement, thank for the discussion. I just want to add, that you have a really bad habit of editing your answers after I've given my replies to your answers.

Well I chose to add further details in the hopes you might actually learn something however your mind is already closed so it was a waste of time.

Unlikely had you been willing to listen I would have been able to explain how every single equation in both articles work in accordance to standard cosmology.

Considering I already reported this conversation for moderator review I will see if I'm correct.

For the record that rank is simply due to reputation rankings. It's meaningless beyond that

Thought you were leaving ? Quite frankly I would not be surprised if the majority of this conversation gets split off to the trash can. I actually recommend that to happen.

Kind of an odd observation made after a handful of posts. Unless you’ve been here under another name

It's believed that space time emerged out of the singularity that spawned our universe but there is something that's assumed which may not be correct. It follows that space time inflated and then slowed down to it's current rate but it assumes that space time decoupled separating itself from matter as if oil on water. It's also assumed and without any scientific proof that space is expanding from itself as though it's a rolled up carpet.

Now I shouldn't be the only person to suggest that space time isn't some type of fabric or rubber mat that droops from mass ( planets don't have weight in space, a bowling ball on a rubber mat suspended over the earth does because of earth gravity but earth isn't hanging above a bigger mass).

Perhaps space time is more like a type of emitted radiation composed of the smallest wave/particles which is created somehow or exists still in all matter and emitted like light from a star. In other words matter maybe where space time still comes from even now.

Time certainly slowed don while I was reading this thread.
Almost came to a stand-still on the second page, with one poster doing the equivalent of "I know you are, but what am I ?"

Yeah that was annoying to say the least. What is tricky about the FLRW metric is that proper time is effectively tied to the scale factor for determination of Cosmic time. The

Cosmic time being to the commoving observer. Hence the scale factor connection. Unfortunately it's easy to mistakenly think that the time dilation formulas work with cosmological redshift but the truth is once you get recessive velocity that exceeds c. One should instantly recognize something is wrong.

Unfortunately in nearly every argument I have ever had on this topic. The posters pushing their personal theories typically wish to ignore that relevant detail.

Let alone any math involving GR which quite frankly the stress energy momentum yemsor components will tell one that there is no gravitational time dilation involved. (The only entry being the energy density at T_{00}.)

Unfortunately too often posters rely on verbal descriptives and seek statements from articles to support their beliefs but don't recognize the math shows a different story from the verbal descriptives.

Spacetime being another common misconception with the fabric descripitives. Once one studies the mathematics one recognizes there is no spacetime fabric and spacetime is simply a volume where time is given dimensionality of length via the Interval.
