qserf Posted September 15 Posted September 15 I have a very old 2012 HP Notebook Model 2000 (Windows 10, used to be 8.1) and the driver for the SD is outdated I think because it doesn't register anything.
Mordred Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Providing make and model of the SD card would be helpful. It may be possible to find a driver that works from older software support sites or technical details such as from datasheets, etc with regards to the SD cards requirements.
MigL Posted September 16 Posted September 16 (edited) Windows will have a driver for it. The fact that it's not even detected means Windows doesn't load it into device manager and load a driver for generic SD cards. Older systems, using a BIOS, might not have the SD card slot enabled, or in the boot sequence. Enter your BIOS ( there should be a message on how at the bottom of your boot screen ) and look for any entries relating to SD card to enable it. Edited September 16 by MigL
