Does this fabric provide good protection to prevent plastic and rubber from drying out and breaking in electronic devices? Is the sunlight that dries out plastic and rubber in electronic devices any light, even indirect light that is deflected and enters homes?

This 100% polyester fabric that I bought, the seller said that it has UV protection but it has a degree of transparency and I read that this UV protection comes off when the fabric gets wet.
