Frey Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 Hi, does anyone know of any cheap and easy method of determining the density of gel (like the amount of gel formed from a solution)? Don't tell me by looking pls.Maybe some kind of colour coding methods? Frey:-p
mezarashi Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 Do an experiment to find its mass, then its volume. Density = mass/volume.
Primarygun Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 What about putting 1kg of the gel into water which is poured into a measuring cylinder, then the volume of the gel can be found out. Does this work?
Xyph Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 As long as you know the volume of water you started with, it should.
