PowerfulOne Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 Why is it that the pH scale only goes from 1-14? What is keeping it from going past that?
BigMoosie Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 There is nothing stopping the value from exceeding 14, that is just the normal scope for most things you will be testing, in fact you may be surprised to hear that you can have a negative pH value, as the scale is logarithmic.
