Well, these people like to be thorough, if you can write a good preposal and they can see they will look good by helping you then they'll help you

 

Best thing you can do is make a good writeup and a presentation and present it to the - they normally respond well to these

Yeah that's how I'll do it. I'll also try the gov. Who can I contact? Which branch?

It actually depends on the specifics of your design also - either way if you contact your local university I'm shure they'll be able to point you in the right direction

I'm working by myself on a couple of designs, one for a full system inside a car, and the other is a test with nickel catalysts. But first I have to build the basic one.

If you find a proffesor at a university that's doing research along the same lines, it's possible that he'd help you out (with funds or equipment - which is more likely) Make sure you suck up like all hell, though.
