jutntog1 Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 My website is currently a tone of yellow for the background...i am having major diffucties keeping it that way....becouse i normally only like white pages what do you guys think of colored backgrounds? does yellow work for my site? http://www.forum4debate.com is the site....
AzurePhoenix Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 too glaring, it hurts my eyes. I always felt a faint blue, gray or green worked best, nice, soft tones that don't detract from the important stuff.
Douglas Posted October 28, 2005 Posted October 28, 2005 Whatever you do, make sure it's easily readable. I've left websites because the color schemes made it impossible to read. The colors on this website are just fine.......look around and find something appealing and readable.
ecoli Posted October 28, 2005 Posted October 28, 2005 try to stay away from deep colors on a background. If you like yellow, try to soften it a bit, and use a pale yellow.
BigMoosie Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 That yellow is ghastly, it would probably drive me away before I even read anything. I feel that the colours that work best are eather black or soft pastelly colours.
swansont Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 I agree with others - the yellow is too harsh. Read up on web design.
5614 Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 You want something easy on the eye, bright yellow isn't!
