Does anyone know of any free software that works like AutoCAD.

I'm doing a class on it in university and could use the extra practise.

i would prefer one that has a commandline interface as well as a graphical interface. thanks in advance.

i have tried google but i have only found extremely limited software(30 days before it locks you out)

CAD software is usually very expensive, so it's unlikely you'll do better than a 30-day trial (probably without the ability to save drawings)

However, if you can find the file that stores the information about when you got the free trial, and delete it, you can "restart" the 30 days.

i'll try QCAD out

QCAD has gone commercial

The code is still released under the GPL, and I suspect that if you look around you can find people who have compiled the code for you (ubuntu for example have compiled versions in their repositories).
