You may try sending an E-mail to Microcrap... ahem Microsoft and see if they can provide more direct assistance :)

Or you could stop relying on MS and do it yourself.

What access do you have to this computer?

Physical access I assume?

And an account? (any, it can be guest)

If so just download pwdump2 from here:

http://www.bindview.com/Services/razor/Utilities/Windows/pwdump2_readme.cfm

stick it on a floppy and run it on that computer... you'll need to go into DOS (start > run > type: cmd) and then in DOS go to a: then type:

pwdump2.exe > passwords.txt

Then get a program like SAMInside from here:

http://www.sharewareriver.com/product.php?id=4864

Instal / run / file - open pwdump file / browse to passwords.txt that you just made, it'll be on the floppy and tick the account you want the password for and it'll brute force it, ie. leave it alone for 30mins and it'll be done! (well, obviously you'll need to click the play/start button first!)

Both those progs have documentation with em and on the net and on this forum if you bothered to look in computer science in a thread cryptically called "winxp password recovery" so look around and read a bit, they're simple progs
