F.B Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 I really don't like this unit mostly because i dont understand it. So can anyone please explain how to do this question i really need help. Determine the magnitude and direction of the gravitational force exerted (a) on the Moon by Earth and (b) on Earth by the Moon. I dont know how to do this, can anyone please explain how to do this question. Also are they looking for g or FG.
ecoli Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 Determine the magnitude and direction of the gravitational force exerted (a) on the Moon by Earth and (b) on Earth by the Moon. quote] First, try to understand the direction part. What do you know about gravity, and how do the masses of objects effect their gravitational field?
insane_alien Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 they are looking for FG. use a vector diagram as this will display all the require information in the smallest possible way. and physics teachers have a fetish about diagrams.
