eruheru Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 Which firefox plug ins do you find the most usefull?
ecoli Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 Faster fox... or would that be considered an extension rather then a plugin?
RyanJ Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 Faster fox... or would that be considered an extension rather then a plugin? I think eruheru may have meant extensions... Plugins basically help to display content in a page whereas extensions add features to the browser. Here are some good extensions I like too use: Enable Right Click 0.3 Ad Block Plus Adblock Filterset.G Updater Gmail Notifier Those are some of my favourites but the list of ones available is HUGE! Cheers, Ryan Jones
doG Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 For forums like these I use the BBCode extension a lot....
BigMoosie Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 For forums like these I use the BBCode extension[/url'] a lot.... That looks useful, I will keep an eye on it until it updates to 1.5 compatability. Some I find useful: Flashgot - Download files into download manager programs like Getright. Web Developer Toolbar - Heaps of tools for modifying the page or finding out information about it such as headers, cookies set etc. Reload Every - Enables you to reload the page on a regular interval. IE view - Open a link in IE, useful for when developing websites or when they break in FF.

BigMoosie Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 What does the Firefox Gmail Notifier offer that the regular one doesnt (i.e. the one that sits on the taskbar next to the clock).
RyanJ Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 What does the Firefox Gmail Notifier offer that the regular one doesnt (i.e. the one that sits on the taskbar next to the clock). Nothing really - it just fits by the Firefox's status bar for easy accessability I like everything to be in one place so its my choice but not everyone likes it that way Cheers, Ryan Jones
jcarlson Posted November 10, 2005 Posted November 10, 2005 Wow. I can't believe no one has mentioned TabBrowser Prefrences yet. I'm not quite sure how I ever lived without it. https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?application=firefox&category=Popular&numpg=10&id=158
