hey, i thought of another angle on this. what if we were to ask, isnt it a woman's body? shouldnt she be able to choose what to do with her body? wouldnt it fall in to the same lines of abortions and women having the final say with thier bodies?

grrr abotion isn't about the woman's body. anyone who says that should be shot for being so stupid. by the reasoning of "it is her body...", you mother should be able to have you killed for no reason right now.

That where its not a crime they have less (key word less) sex crimes

I would say not for many reasons i care not to get into but I wish the cops would put the time they spend rounded up ho`s they likely sleep with anyway We need that room in jail for sex crime where i kid been hurt When hard workin people who use a little drugs get lock up for the same time or more when someone who hurt a kid is out on the streets with a fine or a 1 or 2 whats up with that ? what kind of country do we look like to the world ?

Not the kind i want to brag about thats for sure

From a female view point I think it should definitely be legalised. It would make it much safer for the prostitute and for the punter, with health checks for prostitutes and if punters had to actually go into a brothel and book sex, I think there would be less rape or violence towards prostitutes as there would be less anonyminity for the punters.

Also on the cannabis issue, it should be legal to grow a couple of plants for personal use, but if you're caught selling it then that's dealing and you should face the consequences. That's my personal opinion anyway.

I take it "punters" is slang for people who purchase sex? That's a new one on me. :)
With US football in mind, my first thought was, "You've tried to score but failed. Time to punt."

Well, that depends on the "system" in place.

I guess its better than running them through jails.

Yes punter is a slang for someone who buys something, sorry I just assumed it was widely used , it's a bit vulgar maybe I should have used 'customer', but then I guess prostitution can be pretty

Test

Exactly. We should all go to a country where prostitution is legal.

Or even better, legalize prostitution wherever possible to see what happens.

Even if prostitution were legal, it would still be a shady business, especially when married people are involved.

Couldn't married women (for example) just hand out posters to brothels with their husband's faces on them saying "Do not sexually gratify this man in any way"?

Isn't that what the wife is for?

In business, how hard do you listen to competitors who are telling you NOT to sell to a potential client? In the case of a brothel, the wife is a direct competitor.

I also doubt anybody would be allowed to see a prostitute who hadn't already paid for the privilege, so it would be pretty costly for the wife who wanted to cover all the bases.

And the source of salmonella is suddenly found! Quick, FDA, to iNow's house! <point point> :D

Hmm good point. ;) Well, perhaps in the distant dystopic future when everyone has a microchip in their skull it could be set on "marriage mode" by the minister after engagement, prohibiting purchase of these kinds of services.

"--ATTENTION HUSBAND JH62-X532--

YOU ARE IN THE VICINITY OF A BROTHEL

PLEASE LEAVE THE PREMISES IMMEDIATELY OR YOU WILL BE VAPORIZED"

Hey, don't married men need the brothel more than the single guys?

We're the ones getting the shoddy service. It happens when you enter into a contract, suddenly the service goes in the tank.

We're the ones that have listen to single guys recite their sexual adventures with poll master "Bambi, with an I" and her roommate. Getting sex at all is an adventure for us.

We're the ones that are upside down in our investment. Single dudes put in some social time, a few drinks, dinner...resultant output = x. We commit all of our resources, indefinitely, years of compromise and incremental dissassembly of male ego...resultant ouput <<<<< x.

I sure hope my wife doesn't read this.

Don't worry, she already knows and is a master of implementing the logic you've laid out above. ;)

you pay a girl to have sex with you and its illegal prostitution.

you pay a girl to have sex with you on camera and its legal amateur porn.

Why don't prostitutes just carry video cameras?

Also, I can't quite discern the legal difference between chocolate, flowers and jewelry vs. cash. ;)

Btw I'm not too sure about the porn thing. Sure it's legal if you pay two people (of age) to have sex with eachother but if you're the director and the actor at the same time, so to speak, it might be illegal. I suppose one way to circumvent this is to give some money to a friend to be the film maker and then have him pay you and the prostitute with that money. ;)

I think prostitution should be legal, but only for singles. It should remain illegal if one is married or engaged. If one is married they are under legal contract not to stray. Engagement is like a gentlemen's agreement with a hand shake. Prostitution allows single guys, who are not the players, to have some fun with pretty gals. The nice nerd would be able to play with a 10. This may not be possible under the current dating schema.

Dating, no matter how you look at it, still costs men something. The hope is using dinner, movies and flowers in trade for sex. This can lead to deception from both parties since the price is nebulous. Prostitution is more honest when it comes to single men looking for sex. The price is fixed on the menu, so there is no need to play games. It is an honest deal.

If a guy is looking for a mate, then it can use gifts and activities instead of cash. That can be the clear cut line in the sand between the intent of the dating interaction. If a woman knows men could buy sex and her man is buying her gifts then she knows he is serious. At the same, prostitution is not cheap, so eventually single guys will sow their wild oats and realize the practical value of a good mate. Then they lose that option.
