I downloaded a screen saver from the sin city website (http://video.movies.go.com/sincity/), it installs a .src file which is runs a flash animation of a background of rain with images fading up ontop of it. I am interested in extracting the background of this file. I have tried reshack without luck and anything else I try is useless, is there a program to help me do this?

Never mind though' date=' I don't really know what I was thinking when I posted it, I just snapshotted the various droplet images used and scripted my own animation: http://www.random.abrahamjoffe.com.au/public/JavaScripts/Sin%20City%20Rain/rain.htm (IE only).

Sorry for a waste of a thread.:embarass:

Works on Firefox 1.5 too. Nice one, Moosie.

Ps... I hope you don't mind, I set the page as a desktop image... I really like it.

I did not give you written permission!

Hahaha of course its fine ecoli, in fact I have updated a newer version which shows random extract from the comic strips (click page to cycle through them), its the same adress just refresh your cache..

Oh, and I should note that it has been optimised for 1152x864 so if your gonna use them you might want to resize if necessary...

EDIT: really it works in FF? I think my Firefox has a setting on which doesn't allow javaScript to modify images, its very annoying, I might head over to the moizilazine forums to sort it out...

either of you know how to save a flash from a website?

get the URL of the file (it'll probably be a .swf) tell your browser to not use a plugin to play it but to download .swf's and go to the url should work... :|
