It's a person that comes into a room holding a chicken leg, who puts it on a three legged stool and walks out of the room. Then a dog comes in, and picks up the chicken leg with it's mouth. The person comes back into the room, picks up the stool and throws it at the dog.

Is that anything close?

holy #$^%. Even if that wasnt the correct answer, that was a pretty precise guess. lol

lol, that's because there's a similiar riddle in the Hobbit.

Thank you Cchea, but as I said before, there is a similiar riddle in the hobbit, altough that one involves a fish rather then a chicken leg.

sure

No-legs lay on one-leg' date=' two legs sat near on three legs, four legs got some.[/quote']

I don't know much about english vocab, but i can feel the right answer as you gave me the hint that it's similar to this thread. Thus, it's gonna be "fishes lay on dish (or 1 leg plate), a man/woman sat near on 3-legs chair, and a dog got some"...i think it's terrible answer.

Tolkein's answer is this: Fish on a little table, man at table sitting on a stool, the cat has the bones.

So, your answer is essentially the same.
