cchea Posted December 25, 2005 Posted December 25, 2005 Does Einstein's e=mc^2 prove the big bang theory? Anyone helps me briefly explain these 2 theories? thanks respecfully.
[Tycho?] Posted December 25, 2005 Posted December 25, 2005 Well, you could try looking them up. I suggest wikipedia. And no, that equation does not prove the big bang theory. Plus, its an equation, not a theory. It is derived from the theory of Special Relativity.
Klaynos Posted December 25, 2005 Posted December 25, 2005 Please note the correct form of this equation is: E2=(m0c2)2+(pc)2 Does it prove it, no a formula can never prove a theory you need empircal evidence that is predictable from the theory. Forumula from other theories can be used as evidence in support of a theory/idea/hypothosis though.
