Martin Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 In case any of these are of interest. They are written to be very accessible, for general audience, like the SciAm. http://focus.aps.org/focus_archive?sub=Vol&v=v15 http://focus.aps.org/focus_archive?sub=Vol&v=v16 But this is only a partial list---it is what the editors of PHYSICAL REVIEW FOCUS chose to highlight in 2005---there could be other major stories that aren't represented here. it is chosen from publications of the American Institute of Physics (AIP), which puts out "Physical Review Letters" and other technical peer-review journals so these stories are chosen from a limited field----stuff that happened to be published by the AIP. However the format is illustrated and aimed at nonspecialists.
