JustStuit Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 I was interested in reading Schrodinger's Cat but the bookstores do not have it. One however had Schrodinger's Kittens. It is a sequel but do you need to read cat first? I may just order it on amazon or something.
Ophiolite Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 If you are completely new to quantum theory you should read the Cat first. If you have some background in it then you could go straight to Kittens, since, as I recall, he summarises the key points from Cat in the early chapters.
JustStuit Posted January 23, 2006 Author Posted January 23, 2006 ok thanks, I do have some background knowledge.
5614 Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 I recently read both and agree with Ophiolite... you'd only need to read Cats if you do not know much and what an intro. Kittens goes over the basics really quickly at the beginning, it is not meant to teach that, that was what Cats did.
