You're still thinking in terms of capitalist economics!

 

Look - government will own all factories, industrial machinery, raw materials, etc.

It doesn't NEED to pay for refining, manufacturing, production, construction, and everything else.

 

All it needs to pay for are the workers.

Um, no. What you appear not to understand is that the workers also have to come from somewhere. Assuming in this socialist heaven everybody has a job, then to start a new project then workers have to be transferred from existing jobs.

new lands in the name of socialism.

Look at how much it helped Russia - it was lifted out of the dark ages and turned into

space-age super-power with planned economy.

 

 

Check the facts. Russia was industrialising more rapidly under the Tsars before 1914 than it ever did under Stalin and his much vaulted 5 year plans.

The idea that communist was responsible for the development of Russia is a widespread myth.

 

Then it turned into 3rd world country again when it became capitalist.

 

The USSR didn't become capitalist and so collapse. It collasped and THEN started to become capitalist. Big difference.

Britain nationalised business's before the 1970's recessions. Your grasp of chronology is extremely weak.

 

Britain instigated socialism and then suffered severe economic difficulties. Britain dismantled large parts of the socialist policies and recovered.

 

Cause and effect.

 

 

Socialism saved the world from the recession created by capitalism.

But this isn't the history they teach at school.

 

Socialism precipitated the recession. Chronology, cause and effect. Understand?

The idea that something that requires effort is somehow "free" is no more practical that perpetual motion schemes.

 

What you are talking about is a system where someone else pays for these things. That is not the same as free.

Extreme socialism without a very good control over the people (such as totalitarianism) provides for democracy but equals economic hardship. Socialism with totalitarianism might be economically viable, but is certainly not democratically viable.
