JustStuit Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 I have got the Chaos book by Gleik and Schrodinger's Cat, and I have a report to write in physics on a book. Which book should I pick? ie if you read them which would you recommend more.
deltanova Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 WOW hehehe, i've just realised that i own both of those books, sadly i havent gotten round to reading Chaos yet, straped for time and all that, i've had a look at it, and in my opinion, Shrodingers cat was alot easier to understand (i first read it when i was 14) if your looking to impress i would say chaos, but if your looking for something simpler to read to concentrate on the quality of your report, i reccomend schodingers cat.
Severian Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 I have got the Chaos book by Gleik and Schrodinger's Cat I had no idea that Schroedinger's cat wrote a book together with Gleik. Clever cat!
insane_alien Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 yes it would appear that exposing felines to quantum mechanical experiments increases their intelligence a million fold according to the heisenberg uncertainty principle. P.S. Yeah i know that to anyone who knows anything about quantum theory will see that i wrote a lot of bull excrement but that was the point
ed84c Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Whats its title, i may have to purchase it. Even if only to say to people who say, "Hey thats a good book", "Yeh, i know the guy who wrote it". :P. (im joking of course)
