lightwave Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 Does anyone know what is good in simulation software? I'm looking for something that will model electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
bascule Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 Well, Spice-based programs like Electronics Workbench are good for simulating electronic circuits.
Kermit Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 From what I can remember, you can find loads of interesting simulation software that's free on SourceForge. Some of it might be in alpha development stages but it's always worth it to look around there.
lightwave Posted February 6, 2006 Author Posted February 6, 2006 Thanks lads. I'll check out sourceforge. I have been trying 20-sim which does electrical, mechanical and hydraulic sims, but cannot find anything else that does all three. I already use Protel for electronics simulation.
EverCurious Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 All three? I can't remember the title but my cousin had one, and it was free too. I'll send him an e-mail, see if he says anything about it.
engware Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Hi there: Lots of free engineering e-solutions for energy conversion systems at http://members.aol.com/engware. Thanks,
lightwave Posted February 11, 2006 Author Posted February 11, 2006 Here's 20-Sim's website if you are interested. There's a free download there too. Can't remember the price, but it's a nice bit of software. It does control systems too. http://www.20sim.com Thanks all for your assistance on this. I'll check out your suggestion engware, thanks.
