adifrank Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 I hope I'm asking this question in the right forum. If not, please redirect me. Anyway, my question is: when we smell aromatic cedar, what is the size range in microns of the particle(s) that are actually physiologically interacting with our systems? .... Don't ask why I need to know. Thanks for your help!!
DV8 2XL Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 The active component of cedar's odor is an aromatic essential oil called lignen, I believe - a medium sized molecule
insane_alien Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 so probably a few nanometers across say 2. thats 0.002 microns
