2810712 Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Why is the plane of PPL rotated? What are the factors that lead to rotation in the planes of electric and magnetic field in the light??? is it electron density that causes this. Can this be related to quantum chemistry??? the plane of a photon!!!??? sounds weired , as i do imagine a photon as a spherical massless enegry packages. help required. hrushikesh
timo Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 You´d tremendously increase your chances on getting an answer if you wouldn´t abbreviate the term "power producing lightsabers".
Meir Achuz Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 The rotation of PPL by a magnetic field was demonstrated by Faraday in 1845. If you put <"Farady effect" rotation> into google, you will get info on it. Some advanced EM textbooks also have it.
