YT2095 Posted October 2, 2003 Posted October 2, 2003 I remember being taught the nature of the unviverse according to a certain scientist, I don`t remember if it was a book, TV documentary or a person? excuse my inability to give an EXACT quote, but it was MANY years ago! and went something like this: The Nature of the Universe, imagine a single point in space. then stretch this point into an infinately long line. join the two ends so that it forms a circle. spin this circle at infinate speed until it becomes a Sphere. turn this sphere inside out. the Universe is the bit that`s in the middle ! no, I did NOT make this up, I did actualy hear this somewhere, but does anyone know WHO said it?
fafalone Posted October 2, 2003 Posted October 2, 2003 I don't know who said it, but it's not very accurate as most models and data indicate the universe is not spherical.
Dudde Posted October 2, 2003 Posted October 2, 2003 except the MIB version, in which it was probably a marble, since the galaxies were such as well.
