Guest blottobox Posted October 3, 2003 Posted October 3, 2003 I know quite a few of us are currently taking organic I this semester. I am curious to see what books (including lab and nomenclature if it applies) you guys are using. cheers for the info. I'm using Organic Chemistry 5th ed. by Carey, Francis A. Organic Chemistry Solution Manuel (thank god for this book!) Operational Organic Chemistry 3rd ed. Lehman, John W (my lab book) My nomenclature book I can't find, but i believe it is by Trayner or something similar, the one with the structure of Prozac on the cover (can anyone say irony)
fafalone Posted October 3, 2003 Posted October 3, 2003 I'm using Organic Chemistry by John McMurry/6th Edition
blike Posted October 3, 2003 Posted October 3, 2003 I'm using Organic Chemistry 8th ed. by Solomons and Frye Solution manual for that book. Organic Chemistry: A synthetic and mechanistic approach by Salvatore and Jung (lab) Don't have a nonmenclature book.
Pavlov's Dog Posted October 19, 2003 Posted October 19, 2003 For class we are using Seyhan Ege. There is not enough bad things to say about this text. Over the summer I bought McMurry to study from because of the reviews that I read from Amazon's web site.
scientistsahai Posted March 9, 2004 Posted March 9, 2004 Well what's the best will always be a debate but the two most well known and classic books include: By morrison and boyd I L Finar(I & II)
