aj47
To my horror I awoke this morning to find my cat lapping up water from the cup on my bed side table and realised this has probably been going on for months even years. I'm not too worried more disguisted of the thought of drinking my cats saliva, but do you think there could be anything I could catch from this sharing of drinks? I know one things for sure, I'm going to use a bottle from now on.
ecoli
nope... i was under the impression that Cat's had less bacteria in their mouths then did humans. I wouldn't worry about it.

Royston
Here's a link...(Directors of Health Promotion and Education) If you're really concerned probably best to go to a doctor just to be sure, if your not displaying any of the symptoms then you're probably fine. http://www.astdhpphe.org/infect/toxo.html
aj47
Sounds pretty horrible but I don't have a weak immune system so yea i'm sure i'm fine. Psycological scarring now thats a different matter all together.

Cap'n Refsmmat
nope... i was under the impression that Cat's had less bacteria in their mouths then did humans. I wouldn't worry about it. Just because they have less doesn't mean they don't have harmful bacteria.
ecoli
Just because they have less doesn't mean they don't have harmful bacteria. by less, I was implying less harmful as well... At least, nothing our immune system couldn't take care of. I guess I should've been clearer.
