jeskill Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Hey, so was ScienceForum scheduled for some down time, or was that an accident? I'm very glad it's up again.
clarisse Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 So am I! Two days without SFN! " 'Twas sad as sad could be " P.s. That's a quote, anyone know from where?
Phi for All Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Quantum indeterminacy problem. Dave calculated how fast the server was actually going and then for two days we had no idea where it was.
gcol Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 watever the reason, is it too much to hope for an official explanation?
Royston Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Server went down ? This is explains why I've been so ill for the last week, must of had withdrawal symptons.
insane_alien Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Quantum indeterminacy problem. Dave calculated how fast the server was actually going and then for two days we had no idea where it was. heheh. thank god its back. just hook it to my veins!!!
Miss Perfect Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 I was afraid it'd last for 2 weeks! Sorry YT, but you told me not to trust in coincidences!
RyanJ Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Quantum indeterminacy problem. Dave calculated how fast the server was actually going and then for two days we had no idea where it was. HeHeHe... thats a brilliant quote for my collection Cheers, Ryan Jones
herpguy Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 I was sooooooo messed up the last two days... I was bored and, I don't know how to explain it. I really need to get out more.
YT2095 Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 An Official explaination, Hmmmm.... see here: http://www.scienceforums.net/forums/showpost.php?p=255479&postcount=18 just testing
JustStuit Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 I realized my dependancy to it when a mere two days had to be passed without it. I found myself walking through Walmart aisles in vain search of something scientific. When it loaded I literally, umm, yelped (don't know how to describe it) and now my mom looks at me weird.
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 You people are sad. I should note that the host's site made no mention of any server outages that could be related to SFN's outage, so I don't know what could have happened.
JustStuit Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 You people are sad. I should note that the host's site made no mention of any server outages that could be related to SFN's outage' date=' so I don't know what could have happened.[/quote'] I figure it's better than many other things I could be addicted to.
RyanJ Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 I figure it's better than many other things I could be addicted to. Maybe something happened, a micro singularity passed in close proximity to the server causing time to slow down there and not for us (From the relativity point of view)... that would expain it! Or we can take Phi For All's explination Cheers, Ryan Jones
