pressure increasing valve?

Featured Replies

Is there sucha thing as a pressure increasing valve? If so, depending on the PSI put into the "low" side.. how much of an increase in pressure would it be.. I know that there are alot of things to take into account.. Lets say on the "low" side, we have 200-500 PSI... is there any way of doubling that with a valve ( if ther is such a thing )??

thanks

say what?

you could have a closed valve, that could increase pressure by adding more gas

you could have a valve with seperate chambers of some sort, and have two different pressures in either chamber

guess I need to better analyze the question. I'm sure fafalone will correct me:D

A valve that something passes through at a low pressure, and comes out the other side a higher pressure

something like that

only a pump seems to fit that bill, a simple valve wont do it though, laws of energy conservation etc... you can`t get something for nothing :)

Large pipe ---> Smaller pipe will increase the pressure.
