calbiterol Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 Has anyone been to Africa (especially sub-saharan)?
silkworm Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 Well, if you really need to speak to an African I can get you a few dozen in less than a minute. It appears as though all of the africans, indians, sri lankans, pakistanis, iranians, vietnamese, and fillipinos in the world who go to university in america go to my university and live in my dorm.
calbiterol Posted March 12, 2006 Author Posted March 12, 2006 If you don't mind me asking, could you PM me your email address so I can get back to you in a couple hours?
insane_alien Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 i've been to south africa for a week. went to see a friend.
Glider Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 I was born in Kisumu (Kenya). My dad was working there as a member of British special branch attached to the Kenya police during the Mau Mau troubles. One of his last duties before returning to Britain was to act as bodyguard to Jomo Kenyatta, who (apparently) I called 'Uncle Jomo' and would talk to in Swahili.
The Peon Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 It's always been a dream of mine to visit the motherland. I hope one day to visit this magnificant continent especially the Ethiopian region, which is one of the cradles of mankind.
