augment Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 Im a junior in high school. I have only completed one year of biology I'm taking Chem 1 this year. Next year I will be taking advanced biology and chem 2. If anybody didn't read my thread in the engineering seciton I want to work in the biotechnology industry as a research scientist. I want to buy a textbook so I can start learning about genes, DNA, RNA, rDNA, and things like that. Any recommendations? -J
Bluenoise Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 The one I used is Molecular Biotechnology by Glick and Pasternak 3rd edition, I found it very usefull. My current proff (Glick) wrote it. I haven't had need to use another one though so I don't really have anything to draw a comparisson from.

Bluenoise Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Oh Well that's where I grew up, I have only a half month left in Waterloo, and 99% of the people on this board don't know where that is.
