alt_f13
I though I might share this. It is Jimmy Sabori's rebuild of the Papp engine. It looks completely rediculous, and everything Sabori says is nonsense. http://stream.osen.org/aag/Noble-Gas-340.wmv There is an incredibly funny article by Richard Feyman on the original Papp engine demonstration, during which an unfortunate bystander is killed by the prototypes climactic destruction. You can read it here. 5614
I read Feynman's article on Papp's engine... that guy (Papp) was a bit of (well, a lot of) an idiot really.

If it's impossible, it looks like a lot of people are wasting money and resources. The US underwater naval research agency tested one of Papp's cylinders in the form of a cannon. The thing blew up! There were no expolosives and was checked and monitored by their researchers. Just a few cc's of noble gas mixture and the ignition chamber. The navy validated it...yet Papp(crazy, paranoid, secretive Papp) never released information on how to recreated the process to them. Gas filled vacuum? I think they are saying the chambers are filled with gas. But after each detonation the gas cools and returns to a negative pressure.

People are always wasting time and energy on things that are impossible. That doesn't make them any less impossible. And based on Feyman's account, I'd say the Navy recreated the original pretty spot on, though you'd have to compare the explosions somehow to figure out how accurately. swansont
http://www.navsea.navy.mil/nuwc/default.aspx OK, that's the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (not an agency), but I really meant a link to this testing.
klebrun
OK, that's the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (not an agency), but I really meant a link to this testing. You'd have to call them up and see if they have records. I don't believe they'd post their research online. The names of the Navy personnel that were present are listed in the infinite energy article however. Maybe that will provide a lead.
