For this task, it has a rudimentary nervous system. When it finds its spot and takes root, it doesn't need its brain anymore so it eats it! (It's rather like getting tenure.) Skye Posted October 30, 2003 Share Posted October 30, 2003 I'd call him Bill. They're generally called sea suirts. If you want to seem smarter call them tunicates or ascidians.
