Primarygun Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 When does menstruation occur in a menstrual cycle which lasts for 22 days? 14 days after the previous one, or at the middle. Thanks
mattbimbo Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 surely menstruation occurs every 22 days? most commonly in text books, ovulation occurs in the 2nd quarter of the cycle, but it is all relative.
Primarygun Posted March 29, 2006 Author Posted March 29, 2006 It normally lasts for 28 days. Does ovulation really occur at the middle of the menstrual cycle or just 14 before the end of a menstrual cycle? Which is more persuasive?
chuinhen Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 It depends on each individual . That is the concentration of each hormone that involve in the mestruation . Ovulation is promoted by Luteinising hormone (LH) . LH secretion in anterior pituitary gland is promoted by high levels of oestrogen . Oestrogen secretion is carried out by Follicles in the Ovary . Lastly , Follicle stimulate hormone is the hormone that stimulates the follicle to release oestrogen. THUS , the whole process is chain reaction . Factor like stress can alters the amount of secretion and hence disturbed the whole cycle .
