RyanJ Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 Thought some of you may find this useful, dug it up from my bot list. Looks interesting I'll watch them in my free lessons tomorrow IN 1999, legendary theoretical physicist Hans Bethe delivered three lectures on quantum theory to his neighbors at the Kendal of Ithaca retirement community (near Cornell University). Given by Professor Bethe at age 93, the lectures are presented here as QuickTime videos synchronized with slides of his talking points and archival material. Intended for an audience of Professor Bethe's neighbors at Kendal, the lectures hold appeal for experts and non-experts alike. The presentation makes use of limited mathematics while focusing on the personal and historical perspectives of one of the principal architects of quantum theory whose career in physics spans 75 years. A video introduction and appreciation are provided by Professor Silvan S. Schweber, the physicist and science historian who is Professor Bethe's biographer, and Edwin E. Salpeter, the J. G. White Distinguished Professor of Physical Science Emeritus at Cornell, who was a post-doctoral student of Professor Bethe. http://bethe.cornell.edu/ Cheers and enjoy! Ryan Jones

5614 Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 I doubt I'll get around to listening to them for a while... but when I want to and have the time I'll have them.
RyanJ Posted March 30, 2006 Author Posted March 30, 2006 Here are some more interesting QM based videos I dug up from my bot list if anyone is interested and let is not forget this set Cheers, Ryan Jones

5614 Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 So many lectures/videos and so little time Thanks though.
The Thing Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 Beauty! Nice find. Thanks a lot! This is going to be especially helpful since I don't have any books concerning Quantum Physics.
