invisiblebrain Posted October 27, 2003 Posted October 27, 2003 viruses can utilize their genetic matierial to the max extent by transcripting in a sequence in one fashion and then by doing the same thing by shifting the reading frame to the next position and sysnthesize a new peptide...... this seems too intelligent but would it be really posssible that the resulting protien could make sesnse and could really be utilizred for the viruses purpose of continuing its life........ what do ye think....
fafalone Posted October 28, 2003 Posted October 28, 2003 Since viruses evolved from bacteria, it makes perfect sense that such a simplified system would be effective. If the evidence suggested that viruses had evolved independently, it would be a whole other issue.
KHinfcube22 Posted October 28, 2003 Posted October 28, 2003 Viruses are just forms created by the goverment to manipulate the human population...They kill off those they wish, and give vacines to those who they can control....
fafalone Posted October 28, 2003 Posted October 28, 2003 It would be extraordinarily difficult to create a virus targetted to a specific DNA sequence of a target individual or group, even for the government. By my estimates the government won't have such ability for at least another decade.
Skye Posted November 29, 2003 Posted November 29, 2003 My guess is that the overlapping sections of the proteins have a similar structural role in the seperate proteins, and the areas where they don't overlap specifies how they differ functionally.
